Areas of Concentration

An "area of concentration" might be thought of as a
miniature major within the Bachelor of Liberal Studies
program of study: a group of five or six related courses,
usually in a single academic discipline.  Any minor
approved by the University System of Georgia may
serve as an area of concentration in AASU's Bachelor
of Liberal Studies program.  To determine current
course requirements for the minor, Liberal Studies
students should consult with a faculty advisor in the
appropriate department.  Many of the more common
areas of concentration are listed below.  Students
interested in pursuing an area of concentration not listed
here should consult with an advisor in the Office of
Liberal Studies.
