Assignments
You must complete five of the following assignments by the end of the eight-week summer term (July 28): Assignments #1,#2, #3, #6, and either #4 or #5.  (NOTE: In place of the autobiographical essay [#1], you have the option of doing a second travel essay [#2].)   I have left it up to you to set a sensible summer timetable for these assignments.  Because the summer term is short, you should attempt to complete at least one assignment every week.  In any case, the deadline for submitting ALL course work is July 28. (The deadline for submitting drafts for feedback is July 22--though the earlier you send me drafts, the more help I'll be able to provide.)   In addition to sharing your drafts with me, I encourage you to share them with friends, family members, and/or fellow students. Though you're not required to base all of your writings on your experiences in England, I certainly encourage you to take full advantage of that experience.

To guide your note-keeping and your explorations (I expect you to keep a travel journal--though I won't be collecting it), please review the guidelines before you head off to England in July.
