Master of Arts in Liberal & Professional Studies

Leadership Studies

"Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other."
--President John F. Kennedy

The Master of Arts degree in Liberal and Professional Studies (MALPS) provides opportunities for working professionals to cultivate their skills in communication, problem solving, applied research, and critical thinking.

The primary goal of the Leadership Studies track in MALPS is two-fold:
to study leadership from multi-disciplinary perspectives, and
to develop effective leaders in a broad variety of community and corporate settings.

Rooted in the liberal arts, the Leadership Studies track provides the knowledge and enhances the skills necessary for individuals to think strategically, manage change, communicate a vision, empower others, and advance in their professions.

For organizations, the Leadership Studies track means knowledgeable employees with vision, commitment, and the ability to work across company divisions and borders.

For individuals, the Leadership Studies track means personal growth as well as professional advancement.

For more information about the Leadership Studies track in MALPS, please contact the track coordinator, Dr. Richard Nordquist, by phone at (912)  921 5991, or by e-mail at nordqudi@mail.armstrong.edu.  Dr. Nordquist is Director of the Liberal Studies Program at Armstrong Atlantic.
