Atlantic State University Because the professional experiences of MALPS students serve as integral aspects of most MALPS courses, applicants to the program should have a significant record of successful full-time work experience. In addition, because MALPS courses are inherently collaborative and intellectually challenging, applicants should have a strong academic background, well-developed communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning. In short, the typical MALPS student is a mature, articulate, and intellectually curious individual with several years of significant professional experience. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to make an appointment to meet with the appropriate MALPS track coordinator before submitting application materials.

enrolled in other graduate-level degree programs may apply to the
MALPS program but that they cannot be admitted to MALPS courses until
they have completed (or transferred out of) other degree programs. ADMISSION
STANDARDS A. Regular Admission For regular admission the applicant must have: 1. completed
requirements for the baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited
institution; 4. provided three letters of professional/academic recommendation; 5. provided a letter of intent (one to two pages in length) that identifies the following:

For provisional admission the applicant must have: 1. completed requirements for the baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution; 2. a
2.2 overall grade point average or higher on all undergraduate work; 4. three letters of professional/academic recommendation; 5. letter of intent (see above). Provisionally admitted students may be reclassified with regular admission status providing they have taken three AASU courses, approved by their advisor, each with a grade of no less than B. Additional courses may be required to be completed prior to a student's reclassification. No more than nine hours may be earned.
